LIVE LOOPING WORKSHOP
'FROM THE PRACTICE ROOM TO THE PERFORMANCE HALL'
This interactive, hands-on workshop has been presented at leading middle schools, high schools, universities, and music conservatories nationwide. Band, orchestra, choral, guitar, and music technology programs receive a well-rounded, foundational understanding of the latest live looping technology from BOSS-Roland, and how it can be effectively applied as a practice, performance, and composition tool—enhancing creativity and accelerating student learning both on and off the stage.
Within minutes, students are actively creating music in real time using this expressive platform. Core musical principles such as balance, blend, tone, articulation, and ensemble awareness—aligned with public education standards—are reinforced as microphones, effects pedals, and loop stations are seamlessly integrated into the creative process. Masterclasses, group instruction, and private lessons are available to music programs worldwide.

MUSIC BUSINESS WORKSHOP
'MAKE YOUR PASSION YOUR PAYCHECK'
This discussion-led workshop equips students with a current, applicable, real-world skill set to get their music career started. It keeps the discussion focused on music not only as a passion but also as a business. Touring, sponsorships, endorsements, social media practices, contracts and more are discussed to give students a skill set they can utilize before leaving the classroom.
This fresh, forward-thinking workshop continues to expand the traditional music business model by preparing young musicians to work effectively with the nonprofit, civic, and grant-funding communities. Many performance opportunities are underwritten by nonprofit organizations, and grants can provide essential financial support for touring locally, nationally, and beyond.
The workshop covers grant research and writing basics, joining artist rosters within civic organizations, securing funding opportunities, and staying current in today’s rapidly evolving performing arts landscape. Students leave with a clear understanding of how to access alternative funding streams and build sustainable partnerships outside the traditional commercial music model.
